OUR PHILOSOPHY

Rooted in nature, guided by experience

Health in Perspective Pty Ltd is a long-established Australian-registered company offering holistic retreats, events, and luxury B&B accommodation in the heart of Queensland’s beautiful Noosa Hinterland.

We have been based here on the Sunshine Coast for more than 30 years, and our custom-built Alaya Verde wellness centre sits within 42 acres of unspoilt private forest. From here we deliver our unique retreats while also providing an oasis of tranquility that regularly attracts five-star guest reviews on Google and TripAdvisor

Health in Perspective offers one-on-one Body Harmony treatment sessions from Alaya Verde, as well as a range of classes for current and future Body Harmony® practitioners.

MEET YOUR GUIDES

A shared journey of healing and teaching

Your Health in Perspective hosts and guides are Australian husband-and-wife team Duncan Hogg and Gina Carruthers, who since the mid-1980s have lived and worked together helping others find their personal path to optimal health.

Both are highly experienced Body Harmony® practitioners and teachers, and both grew up in families where health, fitness, and embracing both western and eastern philosophies were the natural choice. They studied and collaborated extensively with the modality’s founder, the late Dr Don McFarland, from whom Duncan first began learning in 1986.

They are joint owners and directors of Health in Perspective Pty Ltd and the Alaya Verde wellness centre and B&B in Queensland, Australia, from where they offer one-to-one treatments as well as hosting retreats and other holistic events

He has been practising, teaching, promoting, and living the principles ever since, including developing and managing Body Harmony events worldwide.
