The Topic Of Embodied Resilience

Lets talk Embodied Resilience, what is it? How do we get it? And how do we keep it alive within us?

Resilience is the ability to get back up after adversity. To not let the pressures of everyday life weigh us down, to allow stressful situations and circumstances to be outside of us and not overtaking us. In this 5 day Body Harmony workshop we will be working with your every cell to build internal resources that strengthen resilience. If you would like to lift your mood, improve your self regulation and improve your outlook on the world and yourself come and feel what life is like when you embody resilience.

We will look at how to sustain positive emotions within the mind and body in-turn strengthening our neuro-pathways and our ability to come back to this happy place in moments of difficulty. Using mindful attention we enhance our awareness of what is happening within and around us so we can better respond to ourselves and others.

Sometimes we need to slow down enough to feel and see what settings our mind and body are running on. Are they understanding, compassionate and supportive? Do they help strengthen you? In embodying resilience we allow the difficulties of mind and body to flow through us and not become stuck within us. We choose to keep what is pleasurable, what brings us joy and what serves our truest self.

  

What Is Body Harmony?

In a seminar you learn how to give and receive a Body Harmony session. In giving a session you are learning to develop or refine the skills that allow your client to transform themselves by incorporating more ease of movement, self awareness and energy flow through their body. In receiving a session you are learning about your body in its transformational capacity, and how you can mindfully and meaningfully support greater health, wellbeing and personal appreciation.

As practitioner you learn to effectively integrate listening and palpatory (touch) skills. Practitioners learn to seek the ‘consent’ of the body to engage in a meaningful partnering process. The aim is to have practitioners learn how to learn from within themselves so that each session becomes a new possibility of growth by applying the skills learnt in class.

Daily morning movement classes also take place in seminars. Alternative types of movement and breathing are incorporated to allow participants to discover new ways of being with their bodies, which can be applied immediately.

A seminar also involves demonstrations, discussions on theory, group sharing and participants having the chance to work one-on-one with teachers.

This 5 Day Seminar commences at 9 am Wednesday May 23st, 2018. The day finishes around 4 pm.

Accommodation Options @ Alaya Verde – Main house 5 nights, per room.

Gold Room $750 (ensuite bathroom, outdoor bath spa, king bed)

Blue Room $625 (ensuite bathroom, king bed – splits to 2 single beds)

Green Room $500 (connected bathroom with bath, queen bed)

Onsite Camping Option @ Alaya Verde

With high quality Kodiak tent, bed, linen and towels $40/night

Bring Your Own Tent and bedding $25/night

Participants may also choose their own accommodation in Noosa and commute each day.

  

Location

Alaya Verde is our 42 acre private retreat 15 minutes north-west of Noosa. We have a private bodywork studio and extensive grounds where participants can enjoy native wildlife, clean air and a positively transforming seminar experience.
